Why?

I understand the life style of  the creative freelancer being a practicing artist myself. Most importantly I understand that beyond visual design, you need information design. We consider your site  a broadcasting tool of your content that you make as an artist or business. Its not enough to be pretty, you need to distribute information that can be picked up on other websites, email, mobile phones and social networks.

Google and other search engines have to find you, in a sense, you create your own galaxy. As a creator of that universe you control what people see and it can be distributed in a powerful way that allows users to find you, creating new audiences, new buyers, and aiding you in adopting competitors *galaxies* into your own.

All sites are bundled normally with the below additions agreed upon by the client.

  • Google Analytics
  • RSS Feeds
  • Social network integration abilities. (facebook, GooglePlus, twitter, etc…)
  • Your site is then registered with Google and other major search engines.
  • We set your geographical target in cooperation with Google.

What’s this CMS? It stands for Content Management System. You get to manage your website. There are several out there, but WordPress is very established, and used by the New York times, BBC, and CNN. This means you get a log-in account and can do whatever you want on it within the parameters of the program. You can even have multiple users in an organization. Incredibly versatile, I cannot say enough good things about it.

Why dont I just get a blogging site online and use that? Professionally speaking, general free sites come with attachments and limitations, “nothing is free” as the saying goes.  M3 designs offers the domain, hosting, email and design that gets you started with something that a concert organizer or gallery, book agent can see that its not typical free site. There are no Ads popping up and the domain name is all yours. Wordpress was a blogging platform originally but now is far more than that. You can “blog” on this platform as well, but the goodnews is that its all yours!
